Military Miniature Modeling Books

While searching for painted toy soldier resources across the internet, I came across a podcast that interviewed Bill Horan, well known in the community as a military miniature modeler. His mentor was Sheperd Paine. I did a quick search on Amazon for their books. These were published awhile ago, but great resource. I have no desire to sculpt my own miniatures, but they had plenty about building dioramas.

Marvel Legends Kingpin from Daredevil/Hawkeye

Was happy to see Hasbro make a Vincent D'Nofrio Kingpin from Daredevil/Hawkeye.

Yoga Joes from the The National Museum of the US Army

I had seen these advertised before, but then decided to get some for my daughter when we visited the new National Museum of the US Army at Fort Belvoir, just outside Washington DC. Pretty funny! After the toy photos, I posted some of my photos from inside the museum.

Marvel Legends "Across the Spider-Verse" Jessica Drew

I still need to see both Spiderverse movies. This is a cool version of Jessica Drew.

Funko Pop Tombstone

Once again, I know Funko Pops are everywhere, but I still love them because they give us properties we'll never see in action figure form. So I redid my Tombstone shoot a few weeks ago.

Valaverse Action Force Swarm Troopers

I was going through some bins and decided to finally set up all my Action Force Swarm Troopers. I love the design of these guys. Think they are more bad ass than Cobra.

The Toy Collector's Wishbook by Retro Toy Quest

Got this through a Kickstarter campaign. Pretty cool book. Love the full page spreads. The campaign only managed to get one book out, but Volume 2 is now available for preorder direct from the creators.
